The CTBL
The University of Baseball in Austin is the home of
the Central Texas Baseball League

What is the CTBL?

The Central Texas Baseball League was incorporated in
October 2003 to serve adult recreational baseball players, ages
18 to 40 and older.  The league plays real hardball on local
fields.  CTBL Championship games are played at Dell Diamond.

We play modified Major League Baseball rules with:

  • Independent batting and defensive lineups
  • Free defensive substitution
  • Steel spikes
  • Steal bases (or get thrown out tryin'!)
  • Hit home runs, bunt - all that good stuff you don't get to do
    when you're playing slow-pitch softball.

Most players have some high school experience and some
have college or professional experience.

How can I join a team?

Sign up on the website's Registration page. The form includes
contact information, age, experience, and position(s) played. An
email copy is sent to you and to the league. You will then be put
into a draft and a manager will contact you. You can even pay
online with a credit card on PayPal!
